Judge Kimberly Best-Staton tried to add points to a juvenile which would have put them in the criminal system for a probation they never violated.

Given the sensitive nature of this case it is beyond comprehension how she couldn't render a proper ruling.

Judge Best Children Neglect Case

A case with children were brought into her courtroom for suspicion of neglect. Judge Best made up that an agreement existed between the parent and DSS in her ruling stripping the parent of their rights.
N.C. Court of Appeals reversed her decision because no agreement existed.
